Serous otitis
Inflammation without active infection of the middle ear, with clear fluid behind the eardrum.
Symptoms: Sensation of a blocked ear, decreased hearing, sometimes tinnitus. Rarely painful.
Swimmer's ear (otitis externa)
Inflammation of the external auditory canal, often caused by moisture or the use of cotton swabs.
Symptoms: Localized pain especially when touched, itching, redness, discharge, sometimes temporary hearing loss.

The $129 package covers the consultation and full evaluation. However, it is important to know that some symptoms that may resemble an ear infection are sometimes caused by a simple earwax blockage.
If the diagnosis confirms only an earwax blockage, the fee is adjusted to $59.
If an earwax blockage is present and an ear infection is also diagnosed, both fees will be added together.
