WHAT IS IT?
Genital herpes is a viral infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV), type 1 or type 2. It manifests as episodes of painful lesions, blisters, or ulcers in the genital area. Between episodes, the virus remains dormant in the body. The diagnosis is made through clinical evaluation and can be confirmed by a sample taken from the lesions.
FOR WHO?
This service is for you if you have lesions, blisters, or ulcers in the genital area, recurrent tingling, burning, or itching in the genital area, if your partner has been diagnosed with genital herpes, or if you want to confirm or rule out a diagnosis of herpes.

HOW'S IT GOING?
Appointment booking online or by phone
Confidential consultation and assessment of injuries
Sample collection from the injury or blood draw as needed
Prescription for antiviral treatment if indicated
Testing by swabbing the lesions is more reliable when done early, within the first few days of the appearance of the blisters. If the lesions have already started to heal, the test result may be distorted. Antiviral treatment does not cure herpes, but it reduces the duration and severity of episodes and decreases the risk of transmission.

Hello, I sincerely want to thank you for your exceptional service. You were remarkably quick and efficient, but above all, you took the time to provide me with truly personalized service. Your professionalism is immediately felt, but so is your human side, and that makes all the difference.
Chantal Dufresne
Very quick same-day appointment. Exceptional service from Nurse Practitioner (NP) Amélie and the staff at reception. She takes the time to listen carefully and makes referrals accordingly. Afterwards, ensures rapid orthopedics care and follows up to ensure I had the appointment. I highly recommend and will certainly return. More than reasonable costs.
