WHAT IS IT?
The Holter monitor is a small portable device that continuously records the electrical activity of your heart for a duration that can range from 24 hours to 14 days. Unlike a resting ECG, which provides a snapshot at a specific moment, the Holter allows for the detection of cardiac rhythm abnormalities (arrhythmias) that may not always manifest during a clinical examination.
FOR WHO?
This service is for you if your doctor has prescribed a Holter, if you experience intermittent palpitations, dizziness, unexplained fainting, or if your doctor suspects a heart rhythm disorder that does not appear on a standard ECG.

HOW'S IT GOING?
Appointment booking online or by phone
Installation of the Holter monitor and electrodes at the clinic
You wear the device for the prescribed duration (24 h, 48 h, 72 h, 7 days, 10 days, or up to 14 days) during your normal activities
Return to the clinic to remove the device, and the results are transmitted to your doctor
During the Holter monitoring, keep a journal of your activities and symptoms (palpitations, dizziness, etc.) with the exact time. This helps the doctor correlate the symptoms with the recordings. The device should not get wet. Avoid electric blankets and magnets.

Hello, I sincerely want to thank you for your exceptional service. You were remarkably quick and efficient, but above all, you took the time to provide me with truly personalized service. Your professionalism is immediately felt, but so is your human side, and that makes all the difference.
Chantal Dufresne
Very quick same-day appointment. Exceptional service from Nurse Practitioner (NP) Amélie and the staff at reception. She takes the time to listen carefully and makes referrals accordingly. Afterwards, ensures rapid orthopedics care and follows up to ensure I had the appointment. I highly recommend and will certainly return. More than reasonable costs.

What is the difference between a Holter and an ECG?
The ECG records heart activity for a few minutes in the clinic. The Holter records it continuously for the prescribed period — which can go up to 14 days — allowing for the detection of intermittent anomalies.
